Hazardous Homes

Hundreds of homes across Cardiff are considered potentially hazardous new figures have revealed. Landlords have been handed almost 1000 notices across Cardiff in the past 3 years urging them to improve the standard of their properties.

In total, 9 homes in Rhiwbina were issued notices following health and safety inspections.

Damp, mould, fire safety, electrical faults, asbestos and excess cold are just a number of the hazards found in Cardff homes during the inspections. Landlords, however are insisting that they are struggling to keep up with changing regulations and have said that the hazard notices don't necessarily mean that the homes are unsafe.

Have you experienced a similar situation? We would love to hear your comments.
